Do you enjoy people and a lovely mountain setting?

Spend a few months with us in the heart of the Pisgah National Forest, in western North Carolina, at the Cradle of Forestry historic site, home of the first school of forestry in America.

The Cradle of Forestry Season usually runs mid-April to first of November. Operating Hours: 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Our Expectations of Volunteers :

  • Pleasant, dependable, reliable
  • Physically able to work with high volume of people
  • Provide gracious hospitality to all our guests
  • Rotate to volunteer in 8 positions
  • Commit to 14 consecutive weeks
  • Work 3 days a week, which includes every other weekend
